Wow! The find of finds. A pair of soft green satinized Lancaster Sunshine candleholders. I will tell you that I paid dearly for these but I know they were worth every penny. I have never seen these in green but was delighted to buy them from Lori Somers in Pennsylvania. She game me first dibs on them knowing I would likely want them. They will be featured in the 2nd edition along with some other wonderful finds.

Right from the pages of the Lancaster Glass Co. advertisement, this color of Circus, is one that I have found on a plate as well. Glad to know that Lancaster tried different color combinations other than black & yellow and red & yellow. These are in fantastic shape with no cloudiness to the paint, which means they were rarely used. I acquired these on eBay from Anza, California in December of last year. They will be featured in the 2nd edition.

Black Rim - Overlay Blue

Another verdant find, are you green with envy? This Green Lustre - Stretch Glass #88 pointed finial, ½ lb. candy or bonbon was sold to me by the Stretch Glass author, John T. Madeley. This particular piece was featured in his book. I was thrilled to have acquired it back in January.

Right from the catalog pages of Lancaster, this Black Rim - Blue Overlay #950 twisted candleholders and #984 console bowl, was another eBay find. Hailing from Spokane, Washington, I found this set in February. It was marked "Deco Blue" with no reference to Lancaster. I paid all of $10.00 for the entire set. These console sets were common in the 1930's with different combinations of candleholders and bowls. Finding this in blue is uncommon. Orange and yellow are the more common Black Rim colors while green and blue are more rare.
